NBSC forges Research Partnerships with 11 HEIs in Mindanao
Northern Bukidnon State college officially forged research project partnership entitled “Building Resilient HEIs in Mindanao through the commencement of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with 11 outstanding state colleges and universities in Mindanao last October 13, 2023 at Opol, Misamis Oriental.
NBSC’s ultimate mission is to explore research excellence through the establishment of strong resilient network in Mindanao. Being the lead of the research project, NBSC has sealed its commitment with college and university presidents, vice-presidents, chancellors, and directors of Philippine College Foundation, St. Michael’s College of Iligan, San Isidro College, Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology, Opol Community College, Tagoloan Community College, Bukidnon State University, La Salle University-Ozamiz, Camiguin Polytechnic State College, and Ateneo de Zamboanga University as they joined forces with Northern Bukidnon State College. On the other hand, Davao del Sur State College, Northwestern Mindanao State University, and Ateneo de Zamboanga also had expressed its commitment to join the research as well.
CHED Commissioner Jo Mark M. Libre, DPA also congratulated the presidents of the participating colleges for taking the effort to unify their visions through their participation he said, “There is always a chance to make a groundbreaking discovery in the field of study in research, innovation, and development and we are able to explore new horizons of knowledge and the creativity that we would like to complement instead of competition.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Catherine Roween C. Almaden, NBSC’s College President expressed her sincerest gratitude to the officials of various primordial higher education institutions as strong research allies she mentioned, “Together, we bring the best of each other and develop a strong resilient network in Mindanao.”
NBSC’s VPAA and Research Project Leader, Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa has shared the objectives of the research and its future impact. Meanwhile, the Asst. Project Leader, Maria Theresa B. Markines-Cabudoy, PhD discussed the contents of the MOU and also research activities.
Other esteemed guests such as Dr. Butch Alcudia FSC, LSU President attended the MOU signing remotely through a virtual platform. This historical event is the fruition of transformative educational institutions.
